The Namaste Trump event in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad will be akin to Howdy Modi event held in Houston in September last year, said the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar, on Thursday.
Raveesh also said that they are eagerly waiting for President Donal Trump’s visit as it will strengthen the global strategic ties between India-USA.
US President Donald Trump and Melania Trump will be on a two-day visit to India starting from February 24.
The US President is scheduled to reach Ahmedabad by noon on February 24 and will address a mammoth crowd of more than 1 lakh people who are going to turn up the event Kem Chho Trump at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. They will later travel to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and will fly down to Delhi later that night.
Melania Trump will visit the Delhi government school in South Delhi to see the impact of the happiness curriculum introduced by the Kejriwal govt as an attempt to reduce stress among school children.
