After the arrests of actress Nandita Dutta and photographer Mainak Ghosh, known as Nancy Bhabhi, on charges of making obscene films from Kolkata, the police opened fire at the studio in Ballygunge. The owner was taken into custody. He has been brought to the New Town Police Station and is being questioned, while the camera and other equipment were seized from the studio in Ballygunge. The police suspect that its strings may be connected with the Raj Kundra case.

He has also alleged that his friend was forcibly made to work in an adult video at New Town Hotel in the city. A senior police officer said, “We will interrogate Nandita and Dutta about their other accomplices and find out where these people used to shoot obscene content in an organized manner. It will also be ascertained where these videos were sold and whether these people are part of any big racket.”
