NASA says talking computers may become reality due to contribution of Sanskrit: HRD Minister

Union HRD minister and senior BJP leader Ramesh Pokhriyal while addressing the graduating batch of IIT Bombay on Saturday, claimed that National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has acknowledged that in future if speaking computers becomes a reality, it would be primarily due to the contribution of Sanskrit, the world’s only scientific language.

“NASA is saying that in the near future if a walking-talking computer will live, then it’ll only be possible because of Sanskrit. NASA is saying this because it’s a scientific language in which words are written exactly the way they are spoken,” said Pokhriyal.

He also claimed that atoms and molecules were discovered by none other than Charak Rishi.

“Who did research on atoms & molecules? The one who researched on atoms and molecules, discovered them, was Charak Rishi,” he added.

The minister also claimed that ancient physician Sushruta was the world’s first surgeon.

The minister congratulated IIT Bombay for securing a rank among top 200 world universities and expressed a vision to bring the institute to number one position. He also inaugurated hostel number 18, and earlier in the day interacted with all IITs across the country through video conferencing on “Navbharat ka nirman, IITs ke saath”.
