UGC NET 2019 June Exam update: Breaking its old tradition, Nataional Testing Agency [NTA] is conducting UGC NET 2019 June Exam without any break.
The computer-based examination has started today [June 21, 2019] and and conclude on June 28, 2019.
According to data released by NTA, 9.42 lakh candidates will be appearing for the UGC NET examination [for 81 subjects] being conducted in 615 centres, in 237 cities.
In a bid to curb malpractices in the examinations, CCTV Surveillance have been installed in 600 examination centres.
UGC NET 2019 June Exam: Shifts and timings
NTA is conducting UGC NET exam in two shifts.
First shift – From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
Second shift – From 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Why UGC NET is conducted?
UGC NET, a national level entrance test, is conducted to select candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor.
UGC NET 2019: Exam Pattern and Changes
There is no break in between the examination.
UGC NET 2019 will comprise only two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Earlier, the exam included three papers.
Total Number of Questions are 150 (Paper 1- 50, Paper 2- 100)
Candidates should note that it is mandatory to attempt all the questions from both the papers.
Paper 2 will cover syllabi of both Paper 2 and Paper 3 as per the previous pattern of UGC NET.
