Here are fasting tips to follow that will also help you shed those extra kilos in a healthy way

Avoid eating fried meals between long gaps

Avoid eating roasted makhanas and namkeens or dry fruits for snacks. Fried items in long gaps can lead to acidity and also hinders metabolism.

Keep your fasting period short

Fasting for a long or extended period of time can lead to slowing down of the metabolism. It is advised to not to fast more than eight hours. Restricted fasting won’t hinder the calorie-burning power of the body and might help you increase the burning of kilos.

Do not overeat

Usually, people tend to eat heavy meals after a full day of food restriction. But the feasting meal can leave you with bloating and lousiness. Control on the amount of food is mandatory on the fasting days too.

Drink excess of water

It is very important to be hydrated all day long, especially when you are fasting. Long hours of fasting can lead to dehydration which can turn you dizzy. It is advised to drink at least ten glasses of water when you are fasting.

Low-intensity workout or meditation

Low-intensity workouts, walking, yoga, stretching or meditation can help you with energy all day long.

Add more fruits to your meal

It is important for the body to add fruits to your meal when you are fasting as it helps to boost the metabolism of the body.

Skip Sabudana Khichdi

No matter how difficult it might seem but skipping the sabudana khichdi can help as it is loaded with carbs and can be heavy to digest. You can replace it with paneer as it is will up with protein and calcium.
