The Lok Sabha elections in Bihar will take place across seven phases, with four constituencies to go for elections in the first phase on April 11, as announced by the Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on March 10.
The Election Commission of India announced that the general elections will begin on April 11, with the last phase taking place on May 19, the results are slated to be announced on May 23.
Bihar has a total of 40 Lok Sabha constituencies.
Elections in the Nawada constituency will take place in the first phase of the General Elections 2019 on April 11.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Giriraj Singh registered a victory by more than 140 thousands votes. He was polled 3,90,248 votes to Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Raj Ballabh Prasad’ 2,50,091. While JD (U) candidate Kaushal Yadav had grabbed 1,68,217 votes.
