Recent development in ND Tiwari’s son murder case suggest that Rohit Shekhar’s wife Apoorva Shukla has been arrested for his murder.
ND Tiwari’s son Rohit died on Tuesday. He was brought dead to the Max Hospital in Saket in south Delhi on April 16. Confirming his demise, DCP South Delhi Vijay Kumar had issued a statement saying, “Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, son of late former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand CM ND Tiwari, has been brought dead to Max Saket hospital. Further details are awaited.”
As per the investigation reports so far, Apoorva and domestic help Bholu Mandal are being seen as the prime suspects in Shekhar’s murder case.
The recent postmortem reports, which suggested “unnatural death” instead of heart attack had added complexities to the case. Since then, the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch was waiting for the forensic report to solve the mystery behind Shekhar’s unnatural demise.
Going by the recent developments in the case, police said the suspected persons from inside the house were behind the killing as no sign of forceful entry was found.
Shukla was detained on Sunday along with two domestic helps in connection with the murder of Rohit, son of former Uttarakhand chief minister late ND Tiwari. She was questioned for over eight hours by the crime branch. Shekhar’s mother had told the police that Shekhar and his wife did not share a cordial relationship.
