NEET 2020 counselling dates to be announced by MCC, DGHS; Important details here

NEET Counselling 2020: Directorate General Health Services on behalf of Medical Counseling Committee, DGHS- MCC will be releasing NEET Counselling 2020 Dates shortly. The complete counselling schedule to grant admission in MBBS/BDS course will be made available on the official portal of MCC — mcc.nic.in.

Qualified candidates in the NEET 2020 exam with the minimum required percentile would be eligible to participate counselling round.

DGHS has been entrusted to holding NEET counselling 2020 for 15% seats of the total intake from all the government colleges (except for colleges of Jammu and Kashmir state) for All India Quota candidates.

NEET Counselling 2020: Important Instructions

Candidates can check the important instructions given below-

NEET 2020 counselling would be held online and the documents needed for MBBS admission are NEET admit card, rank card, scorecard, date of birth certificate, provisional Seat Allotment Letter/ Call Letter, prepaid fee receipt, classes 10, 12 mark sheets, and passing certificates, aadhar card, migration certificate, PAN card, passport size photos, and medical fitness certificates.

Candidates will have to fill in the choices after completing the registration process by logging into the registered account on the MCC portal.

The seat allocation list would be prepared on the basis of the AIR secured in NEET 2020 exam and the choices filled in the registration form. The seat allocation list will be uploaded online on the official website of MCC.

The counselling for All India Quota seats will be held in two rounds. The seats left vacant after the first round would be carried forward to the second round. But seats left vacant after the second round of NEET counselling 2020 will be transferred to the respective state quota.

This year, the number of seats in the participating medical colleges in AIQ counselling has been increased. With the increase in the number of colleges, the number of seats has also been increased to 4591 from 4064.

NEET Result 2020 was released on October 16, 2020. This year, nearly 14.7 lakh students have taken the examination out of which have passed the exam. The medical entrance exam was held on September 13, 2020.
