NEST results 2019 expected to release today @ nestexam.in; check cut-off marks

NEST results 2019 update: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai’s Department of atomic energy centre for excellence in basic sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) is expected to release NEST results 2019 on Tuesday, June 18.

According to reports, NEST results 2019 will be declared anytime soon.

“Due to some technical reasons the result could not be published on 17.06.2019. Inconvenience is regretted. NEST 2019 result will be out on 18.06.2019 (before 5 pm),” read a notification on the official website.

Candidates, who had appeared for the National Entrance Screening Test or NEST 2019 conducted on June 1, are advised to keep track on the official website.

  • Step 1: Visit nestexam.in
  • Step 2: Click on the relevant ‘result link’
  • Step 3: Enter the required information
  • Step 4: NEST results 2019 will appear on the screen.

NEST results 2019: Overall cut-off or Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP)

General category candidates

MAP for NEST 2019 is 95 percentile

OBC candidates

MAP for NEST 2019 is 90 percentile

SC/ST/PwD candidates

MAP for NEST 2019 is 75 percentile

NEST: Eligibility criteria for admission

Candidates must qualify all four eligibility criteria listed below:

  • Candidates in General and OBC category should be born on or after August 01, 1999. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ ST/ Physically Disabled (PD) candidates.
  •  Class XII qualifying examination should be passed in either 2017 or 2018. Candidates appearing in 2019 are also eligible. (Where only Letter Grade is given by the Board, a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks will be required. In the absence of such a certificate the decision of the respective Admission Committees will be final.)
  •  At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Persons with Disability (PD), the minimum requirement is 55%.
  •  Candidate should secure a position in the NEST merit list.
