Nick Chubb Knee Injury: Nick Chubb, a running back for the Cleveland Browns, has been ruled out for the entire season after sustaining a serious knee injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers defeated the Browns by a score of 26-22 on Monday Night Football. The injury occurred after a low contact by Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and pressure from another defender caused Chubb’s knee to bend unnaturally. As he made his way to the locker room after the replay, Steelers fans chanted his name and gave him a standing ovation to demonstrate their support.

As a result of Chubb’s knee injury, the Browns immediately declared him out. Chubb’s replacement, Jerome Ford, scored on his first play after entering the game. Due to Chubb’s injury, Jerome Ford will presumably direct the ground attack for the remainder of the season.

Following the contest, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Chubb’s season has been cut short due to a “significant” knee injury. Chubb suffered a severe injury to his left knee while playing for Georgia during the 2015 college season. Later, he returned to Georgia for the 2016 and 2017 seasons before being drafted by the Browns in the second round.

Chubb is an integral part of the Browns’ offense and is regarded as one of the league’s top running backs. In the previous season, he had a career-high 1,525 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns.

In the season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, he displayed his aptitude by rushing for 106 yards on just 18 attempts. On Monday night, he gained 64 yards on 10 carries, but this auspicious start was cut short by an injury. Chubb is presently in the second year of a three-year, $36 million contract with the Browns, and he will have a difficult road to recovery.
