Nissan Magnite SUV to be launched in India post Diwali, check details

As per the latest reports, the all new Nissan Magnite will be launched in India after Diwali 2020. The upcoming car Nissan Magnite SUV was unveiled in India yesterday,  the Japapnese automaker is all set to launch the car in one of the most competitive segments in the Indian automotive market. However, the company revealed the car’s production model, there were a few details it chose not to share just yet, including Nissan Magnite’s launch date in India.

The carmaker has scheduled the upcoming Nissan SUV’s India launch after Diwali 2020 and not early 2021 as was previously reported. As expected, Magnite has most of the concept’s design, both inside and outside. It features a sculpted bonnet, an octagonal grille, angular LED headlights, L-shaped LED DRLs, etc. The car’s front looks similar to Datsun and that’s probably because the car was originally destined to be launched as a Datsun SUV in India and not a Nissan SUV.

Inside, Nissan Magnite gets hexagonal AC vents, three large knobs for climate control, engine push-button start under the climate control knobs, multi-function controls on the steering wheel, etc. For safety, it gets dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), vehicle dynamics control, hill start assist, traction control, etc.

One of the other details that Nissan India chose not to reveal yesterday was the Magnite’s engine options and specs. But it did confirm that the upcoming SUV in India will be available with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a CVT unit. It should be noted that Nissan Magnite’s engine options will also include a naturally-aspirated 1.0-litre petrol engine and as for transmission, here the company is expected to add a manual gearbox and an AMT to the mix.
