#noCBT2inGroupD trends on Twitter: The disappointment amongst the RRB Group D aspirants over including CBT 2 in the selection process is now taking the form of protests and demonstrations.
Recently, the Railway Recruitment Board notified that it shall be including the 2nd phase in the selection process of the RRB Group D examination.
The board put forth its own reason, i.e. high number of applications received against meager vacancies for this decision.
However, the youth that doesn’t seem to be convinced by this decision of the board has now started protesting against this.
Through the notice, the RRB, has carried out amendments for CBT 1 and CBT 2:
(A) First Stage CBT (CBT 1) starting from 23.02.2022: will be as per Para 14.1 of the CEN No.RRC-01/2019 in multiple phases, subject to the prevailing conditions and Government guidelines issued from time to time in view of handling of the Covid19 pandemic. The Syllabus and distribution of questions for CBT 1 will remain the same as mentioned under Para 14.1 of “Recruitment Process” of CEN.
(B) Second Stage CBT (CBT 2)
- Syllabus: 10th Standard, me as (CBT 1)
- Distribution of Questions
Since yesterday, a nationwide protest has been launched by students who have taken Twitter to demonstrate their bafflement over these last-minute changes made by the board. The candidates have been tweeting their requests using hashtags, #no_cbt_2_in_group_d, #RRBNTPC, #RRBGroupD and tagging Prime Minister and Railway Minister in their tweets. The students are demanding canceling CBT 2 for RRB Group D and restoring the previous selection process.
Candidates have been panning the board ever since this notice was released:
They have also been alleging that the board has been cheating the aspirants and this kind of decision by a recruitment board is shameful and is distasteful.
However, as of now, there is no official word by the Railway Ministry itself regarding all these protests.
Apart from this, several protests were also staged in different parts of the country like Patna wherein a large group of students blocked the railway station and tracks chanting anti-Railway board slogans.
The candidates voiced their opinion regarding the fresh changes proposed and said that the board is playing with the sentiments of the youth.
In order to disperse the crowds and clear the tracks, the authorities have to charge batons and fire tear shells.

Introducing CBT-2 in Railway Group D exam after 3 years is a shameful act by RRB. They should apologize to the students for not giving the exam till now but they are just planning how to delay and harass the students.. #no_cbt_2_in_group_d#RRBNTPC@narendramodi #no_cbt_2_group_d pic.twitter.com/PZPyCbfo7X
