A 22-year-old post-graduation student living in a paying guest accommodation in Uttar Pradesh committed suicide by hanging herself inside her room. The incident got reported from Sector 17 of the Noida area on Wednesday.
The police have stated that they did not find a note attached to the deceased.
The name of the deceased was Seema.
She was staying at a PG facility in the area. Inspector Vikas commented on the incident, SHO of Sector 18 police station said the body has now been handed over to Seema’s family after an autopsy.
“The family doesn’t suspect any other angle to this case and they don’t suspect any foul play in this case and hasn’t filed a complaint. It appears that Seema killed herself, but the reason behind the suicide isn’t clear,” he said.
She belonged from Dadri and was pursuing her post-graduation and working part-time with a private company in the city.
The police are looking into the details of this case and also checking her call details.
The incident came to public notice when housekeeping staff at the PG knocked at Seema’s door to clean her room, they did not get a response and her room was locked from inside. Seema was later found hanging from the ceiling fan.
