Noida Transport Association on Tuesday called for Noida Bandh on September 19 against the revised motor vehicle act bringing heavy challan.

Owners of buses, trucks and other commercial vehicles to go on strike in solidarity with their counterparts in Delhi-NCR who are protesting against the new Motor Vehicle Act.

Speaking to TOI, president of Noida Transport Association, Vedpal Singh said they have the support of over 40,000 owners including those of autos and cab drivers.

“This is the final showdown. Either the government pays heed to our demands or we’ll park our vehicles outside RTO office. It is becoming difficult to operate like this,” said Ashok Sharma, the national president of All India Truck Operator Welfare association.
