Darbhanga: Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) national president Nitish Kumar on Sunday in Darbhanga said that, “National Register of Citizens (NRC) will not be implemented in Bihar and National Population Register (NPR) should be done on the same basis as was done in 2010, not any other way”.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is believed to have taken this decision and announced it as part of an effort to attract the minority community in the forthcoming assembly elections.
Nitish Kumar likened Maulana Abul Kalam Azad to Mahatma Gandhi. He said that the way Bapu is remembered by people, we will also have to remember Maulana Azad same way as he too was also against the partition of the country.
