NSUI gears up for a new president

Indian National Congress’s student wing, NSUI has started the process for selection of the new national president. Multiple sources confirmed that the vacancy was created after acting president Amrita Dhawan resigned a few days back.

Last president Roji M John had resigned in June 2016 after he was elected as an MLA from Kerala. Since then, first Vice President, Amrita Dhawan has been fulfilling acting president of the organisation.

Anyone who has been an NSUI office bearer can download the application form from the official website and can apply for the presidential post before May 8, 2017. Shortlisting of the candidates will be done on May 12, 2017 on the basis of the application form notified on NSUI website.

Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on 15th and 16th of the month after which final announcements will be made.

A screening committee led by AICC General Secretary and former NSUI National President Mukul Wasnik has been put in place to carry out the process.
