Due to the rapid surge in the COVID-19 cases, the Odisha government has cancelled the BSE Odisha 10th board examinations.
The marks of the students will be decided on the basis of internal assessment, the government has said. Students who wish to appear in the exam will be given a chance later, it has added.
Earlier, these exams were postponed and were scheduled to be held from May 19, 2021. But now, the exams stand cancelled. Students are advised to keep a check on the official website for any further updates.

On April 20, a large number of students protested in front of CM Naveen Patnaik’s residence demanding the cancellation of the examinations.
Odisha Class 12 examinations for Arts, Science and Commerce streams, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), were slated to begin on May 19. A decision regarding Class 12 examinations will be taken in June first week.
