A massive explosion took place in Odisha on Wednesday which ripped off a petrol station near Raj Bhavan. Efforts are underway by fire personnel to douse the flames. The reason behind the outbreak of fire is yet to be ascertained.
Several suffered serious injuries during the mishap, said Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhansu Sarangi, as reported by Odisha TV. CP Sarangi informed that one of the two fuel storage tanks exploded causing the fire to spread. In order to prevent any further mishap, the entire stretch of road between Raj Bhawan and Capital Hospital has been cordoned off by the police.
