One Plus 5 launched in India, sale begins online

On Thursday, Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus, unveiled ‘OnePlus 5’ in India, which comes in 8GB variant featuring a dual lens camera system.

The phone will come in two variants, 6GB RAM/64GB memory and 8GB RAM/128GB memory. They will be available in India for Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999, respectively.

The smartphone is an Amazon India exclusive product. According to Amazon, it received one million “notify me” requests regarding the device by 2 pm soon after its launch. The sale of the phone began at 4.30pm.

Featured by Octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the device will house 16MP + 20MP rear dual-camera combination and 16MP front shooter. The company claimed that OnePlus 5 has the highest smartphone camera resolution till date.

The 5.5-inch full-HD display smartphone comes with a “Dash Charge” technology, that gives the phone a day’s power in a half-hour charging.

A range of diverse backpacks have also been launched by the company.
