Mumbai: State-owned ONGC on Thursday announced a buyback of 1.97 per cent equity shares at a price of Rs 159 per stock for a consideration not exceeding Rs 4,022 crore.
The buyback decision was taken by the company’s Board in its meeting held on Thursday.
“The company has fixed January 4 as the record date for determining the entitlement and the names of the shareholders or beneficial owners to whom the letter of offer will be sent and will be eligible to participate in the buyback,” the company said.
