PM Narendra Modi, while speaking at the Parliament on Wednesday, said that he is pained by the lunching of a youth in Jharkhand but it is unfair to blame the entire state for the act and insult it by calling Jharkhand a hub of lynching.
“The accused should get severe punishment, but it is not fair to malign or blame the entire state,” said Modi, adding that It is our responsibility to protect each citizen. If we stop seeing through the political lens, we will be able to see a bright future.”
The lynching in Jharkhand has pained me. It has saddened others too.
But, some people in the Rajya Sabha are calling Jharkhand a hub of lynching. Is this fair? Why are they insulting a state.
