Coronavirus crisis across the country has hit hard everyone and everything including student’s education. Schools are closed these days due to the lockdown. Online studies are taking place, but there is a dispute going over the fees of the school. The All School Parents Association, ASPA, demands that school fees be waived completely during the lockdown, as many parents are unable to collect fees.

However, NCR Parents Association demands a school fee waiver and also instructs schools not to compel parents to pay a fee for online classes during #COVID-19.

They started the campaign on Saturday, May 16 with the #NoSchoolNoFee hashtag on Twitter to raise their voice. From 11 AM to 2 PM, more than 12 thousand people tweeted about it.

As per Parents Association, Parents were paying School Fees for 90 days while classes were conducted only for 45 days (Session starts 15 April & Summer Break from 1 June onwards).

They also asked in a tweet that, Parents have always stood by schools. Some school has set an example by waiving Fees. Will others?

Earlier, on April 5, the Noida District Magistrate directed all schools and colleges in the city to not demand fees from the parents amid lockdown. A statement issued by the DM’s Office further informed that even if parents fail to submit fees for their wards, it won’t affect student’s enrollment in online classes.

However, even after this, there was no relief so parents took to Twitter.

Meanwhile, there are some schools that have waived the complete fees during the lockdown period.
