A retired IPS officer Ajay Verma and his son were allegedly assaulted by a few bike-borne miscreants in Pata’s Khanmnichak locality under Bypass police station area on Tuesday.
As per the reports so far, the incident happened when Verma along with his wife and son were passing through the locality and his vehicle collided with a bike.
An FIR in the matter had been registered and probe is underway. Meanwhile, SSP Garima Malik said that strict action would be taken against the culprits involved in the incident.
