Paul Pogba, France’s World Cup-winning star has decided to quit international football in response to French President Emmanuel Macron’s comments on Islamist terrorism. As per reports, Pogba decided to quit football after Macron’s comments on Friday.

A few days back, a middle school history teacher in France was killed near the school after he had shown cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad which is considered bad by Muslims.

The attacker was shot dead by a police patrol a few streets away from the scene of the attack late on Friday afternoon, in a residential suburb north-west of Paris.

One of our fellow citizens was assassinated today because he was teaching, he was teaching pupils about freedom of expression,” French President Emmanuel Macron told reporters at the scene of the attack.

Our compatriot was flagrantly attacked, was the victim of an Islamist terrorist attack,” Macron said.

They won’t win… We will act. Firmly, And quickly. You can count on my determination,” he added.

Speaking of Paul Pogba, neither the French Football Federation nor the Manchester United midfielder himself has officially announced anything so far.

Paul was allegedly upset with President Macron’s remarks and considered those remarks as an insult to him and to French Muslims, as Islam is the second religion in France after Christianity.
