Pradosh Vrat 2020: Pradosh Vrat of Ashwin month will be observed on September 29, 2020. With the arrival of Pradosha fast on Tuesday, it will be called Bhaum Pradosha fast. Pradosha Vrat has special significance in the scriptures, it is considered to be particularly fruitful.

Significance of Pradosh Vrat 2020

According to the Hindu calendar, Pradosha Vrat is kept on both sides of the month i.e. Shukla and Krishna Paksha on the Trayodashi date. Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshiped in this fast. It is believed that devotees observe Pradosh fast on both the Trayodashi date of every month to get blessings of Lord Shiva.

Pradosh Vrat Shubh Muhurat Trayodashi date is 28 September at night starting at 8.58 am and 29 September, Tuesday night at
10:33 am.

Here are different types of Pradosha fast, take a look:

Monday – This Pradosha fast is also called Soma Pradosham or Chandra Pradosham. On this day, the seeker meditates on Shiva to fulfill his desired wish.

Tuesday – This Pradosha fast is called Bhaum Pradosham and it is done with special wishes for good health and freedom from diseases.

Wednesday – Mercury Pradosh fast fulfills all types of wishes.

Thursday – Thursday Pradosh Vrat which falls on Thursday is called Guru Pradosh Vrat. This holy fast is observed to overcome and destroy enemies.

Friday – The fast which falls on this day is called Venus Pradosh fast. Pradosh Vrat done on this day brings blessings of happiness, prosperity and good fortune.

Saturday -This Pradosha fast is called Shani Pradosham. On this day, this auspicious fast is performed with the wishes of the son.

Sunday – Pradosh fast done on Sunday is done with the desire of long life and healing.
