Pulwama Attack: Youngest family member Martyr Ashwani Kumar was planning to visit home and get married

The 44 CRPF men who died in the brutal Pulwama terror attack had left the nation in shock and the most affected from this incident are the families of the Martyred.

One amongst them, Ashwani Kumar Kachi from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.  He was a resident of the Khudwal village in Sihora and his first posting was done in Srinagar in 2017.

Ashwani was youngest in his family and we can’t imagine the pain his family would have felt when the news regarding the incident would have broken to them.  The 30-year-old officer last met his family at the time of Navaratri and had plans to go home and get married this time.

His family was convinced that they would see their son next in October only to know that it was the last time they met him.

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath will soon be visiting the braveheart’s village and meet his family after attending the state cabinet meeting in Jabalpur on Saturday evening. Earlier, the state government has announced Rs one crore compensation to the martyr’s family, along with announcing a house and government job for one member of his family.

On Feb 14, a CRPF convoy going from Jammu to Srinagar with 78 vehicles in the convoy and amongst more than 2500 jawans were present in the vehicles, 40 jawans were targeted by the militants. The terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed rammed a vehicle carrying 350 kg of explosives into the CRPF bus killing 44 CRPF men.

The incident is being condemned by everyone in the nation. Ashwani was the third brave-heart from Madhya Pradesh to lose his life in a Naxal attack.
