Actor Pushpa Joshi, who made her debut to the big screen at the age of 85 with the Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid last year, breathed her last on Tuesday, November 26. She was 85.
According to the reports, she suffered a fracture after she slipped at her home last week. Following which, she was hospitalised in Mumbai. She was successfully operated thereafter. However, on Tuesday night, she left us all for her heavenly abode.
Director Raj Kumar Gupta announced this news on Twitter sharing a picture with Pushpa Joshi. He wrote, “Very sad to hear about the passing away of Pushpa Joshi ji. One of the highlights of my directing career was watching you perform in RAID. You were a live wire on and off the sets. Wherever you are you will be smiling and spreading happiness Dadi ji. We will miss you. RIP.”
Pushpa Joshi hailed from Jabalpur. She first came into limelight with her short movie called Zaayka that was produced by her son Ravindra and daughter-in-law. Following this, she bagged a role in Raid. She played the role of Saurabh Shukla’s mother and won rave reviews for her performance in the action crime film.
She has also featured in movies like Ramprasad ki Terahvi.
