REET 2021 Schedule: Application for Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test from 11th January; Qualifications details

As per the REET 2021 release issued by the board, the process of online application for the examination will commence from 11th January and interested candidates will be able to submit their application by 12.00 noon on 8th February.

Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) has announced several important changes along with the revision for Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test 2021. As per the REET 2021 release issued by the board, the process of online application for the examination will commence from 11th January and interested candidates will be able to submit their application by 12.00 noon on 8th February. 

However, candidates will have to pay the application fee prescribed for examination by 4th February. Further, as per the REET 2021 schedule issued by the Board, the first level (classes 1 to 5) and second level (classes VI to VIII) examinations are to be conducted in two shifts of 2.30-2.30 hours in the morning and afternoon on April 25. Candidates will be able to download their admission cards for the examination from 14th April 2021.

REET 2021 Eligibility Related Changes

As per the release issued by the Board, Rajasthan eligibility Exam for Teachers 2021 i.e REET 2021 has announced a reduction of minimum marks prescribed for SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, widowed women, ex-servicemen, PWDs, and Saharia tribe as compared to the examination for the year 2017.

Further, under another significant change, candidates who have received less than 50% marks in graduation but 50% marks in PG have also been declared eligible for application. The commerce subject has also been included in level-2.

Changes in syllabus

Earlier REET examinations were based on the syllabus made in 2011 while textbooks have been revised. As per the note directives, it has also been announced to include topics relating to the geography, history, art, culture, etc, of the state by amending the syllabus.

B.Ed. candidates will not be able to give the Level 1 exam

In another significant change, the B.Ed. candidates have been disqualified for the level 1 examination of REET 2021. As per the notice, such a decision has been taken keeping in view the interests of D.El.Ed and B.El.Ed candidates as applicants with B.Ed. qualifications have options for level-2, grade-II, and grade-I.

Application fees for REET 2021 will not increase

The board has announced to not increase the application fee for this year’s examination in view of the Covid-19 epidemic. As per the notice, a fee of Rs. 550 for level 1 and 2 of REET 2021 and Rs. 750 for both levels will be charged.
