On January 26th, Republic Day, a ceremonious parade is organised at the Rajpath to pay tribute to India- to its diversity and rich cultural heritage. Normally around 150,000 people attend the ceremonious parade but as it is a year of the pandemic, to maintain social distancing and avoid spreading of coronavirus only 25,000 people have been allowed to see the parade live.
However, many acts have been removed from today’s Republic Day parade due to covid- gravity-defying stunts by motorcycle-borne men, the parade of children who receive bravery awards.
