Preparations for the main event in Delhi for Republic Day are at peak. Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory for Republic Day and for the full-dress rehearsal on January 23. The route of the parade will be small this time due to the Corona crisis but security arrangements are being strengthened by the Delhi police. Traffic will be diverted on January 23 and 26 on several routes.
An order issued by Delhi Joint Commissioner of Police Manish Agarwal said that traffic will not be allowed at Vijay Chowk, Rafi Marg, Janpath, Mansingh Road on January 23. He said that I appeal to the people to keep the traffic advisory in mind whenever they leave the house on the morning of 23rd January. Netaji Subhash Marg will also be closed from 4 am on 26th January.
The order issued says that if travel is unavoidable, road users are advised to adopt the following routes:

- Ring Road – Ashram Chowk – Sarai Kale Khan –
- I.P. Flyover – Rajghat – Ring Road Madrasa to Lodhi Road ‘T’ Point – Aurobindo Marg – AIIMS Chowk – Ring Road – Dhaula Kuan – Vande Mataram Marg – Shankar Road – Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Road or Temple Route.
Delhi: Travel from East to West
- Ring Road – Bhairon Road – Mathura Road – Lodhi Road – Aurobindo Marg – AIIMS Chowk – Ring Road – Dhaula Kuan – Vande Mataram Marg – Shankar Road – Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Road or Temple Route.
- Ring Road – Boulevard Road – Barf Khana Chowk – Rani Jhansi Flyover – Faiz Road – Vande Mataram Marg – R/R A. Shankar Road.
- Ring Road – ISBT – Chandgi Ram Akhara – I.P College – Mall Road – Azadpur – Punjabi Bagh.
