The television actor and model Sameer Sharma was found dead at his home in suburban Malad, police said on Thursday. The actor is reported to have died by suicide. The actor was found hanging in his kitchen at his residence and Mumbai police have registered it under accidental death report.
Ye Rishte Hai Pyar Ke actor’s reason for suicide remain unknown and there was no suicide note found in his apartment.
The actor Sameer Sharma was last seen in Bollywood film Ittefaq.
Ittefaq was a join production between Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and BR Chopra Films. The film starred Sidharth Malhotra, Akshaye Khanna and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles and was a remake of a 1969 film by the same name.
In the film, Sameer Sharma played the role of Sonakshi Sinha’s husband, Shekhar Sinha who gets murdered and what follows next is his murder investigation. The movie is available on Netflix.
Later, the society members informed the police who rushed to the spot and took Sharma to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, another official said.
