RJD leader arrested for posting ‘objectionable video’ against CM Nitish Kumar

PatnaA Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Sachin Kumar Choudhary was arrested in Madhubani district on Tuesday, October 29, for posting an objectionable video on Facebook against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Though the pots are no longer available, few reports claim that the RJD leader had posted a video as well as a written message in which he criticised the “failure” of the Nitish Kumar government’s prohibition law and the “easy availability of liquor” despite the ban on alcohol.

In the said video, accused Chaudhary reportedly criticised Nitish Kumar’s government for his inability to successfully implement the liquor prohibition in the state even after three and half years of its introduction.

He also said that the liquor ban has become a joke among people as illegal liquor is freely available on demand.

As soon as the video went viral on social media, Madhubani Police IT cell was informed of the matter and Chaudhary was arrested on October 25 from his village for the “defamatory content” and “intemperate and indecent” language.
