Samsung to host Galaxy Unpacked Event: After releasing the flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 Series in early 2023, Samsung is now planning Part 2 of its Unpacked Event for the following month. The company has announced that its 27th Galaxy Unpacked Event will take place in July 2023. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will represent the next iteration of foldable smartphones.
Event for Galaxy Unpacking in Seoul
Samsung is hosting an Unpacked Event for the first time in its native country of South Korea. In late July, the event will be conducted at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul City. TM Roh, President & Head of Mobile Experience Business at Samsung Electronics, stated, “Host Unpacked in Seoul holds great significance as both an emerging centre of innovation and culture and for the foldable category.”
He continued, “Seoul is the beating core of Samsung’s global expansion. It is the source of Samsung’s openness philosophy and innovation vision, which will guide the company’s future. In only fifty years, Seoul has witnessed a remarkable transformation, emerging as a thriving hub for technological innovation and culture. It continually reinvents itself as a hotbed of cutting-edge technologies that will shape the future, outpacing past development and predominating cultural trends.”
Roh also discussed the launch of the next iteration of foldables at the event, stating, “The foldable category embodies Samsung’s philosophy of delivering breakthrough innovation that pushes the boundaries to reshape the future of mobile experiences.”
Samsung held its first Unpacked Event in March 2010 in Las Vegas, and since then, the brand has hosted its event in major cities across the globe, including New York, Berlin, London, and others. With the 27th Unpacked in Seoul, Samsung intends to shift its focus for Unpacked for foldable devices to various trend-setting cultural cities around the world, in close alignment with the event’s designated theme. Samsung’s first foldable device was released in 2019, and since then the company has been expanding the foldables market.

Expectations for July’s Galaxy Unpacked Event
In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung is anticipated to introduce the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Tab S9 Series at the event.
