In an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tral area, top militant commander Zakir Musa was reportedly killed by security forces.
On Thursday, at Dadsara village in the Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, a gunfight broke out between militants and security forces as reported by News18.
According to reports, late in the evening, a joint team of the Army’s 42 RR, SOG and CRPF cordoned off the Dadsara village.
The cordon was laid following inputs about the presence of the militant commander of Ansar Gazwatul Hind, Zakir Musa, said a police officer as per the reports. The officer added, the militant commander opened firing at the joint team, which tried to persuade the militant commander to surrender. The firing by the militant commander led to an encounter.
The internet connection in the valley may get partially shut by the authorities in the valley.
