Hitesh Kewalya’s Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was faring well at the box office but it faced a substantial drop on its day 4, which has given the film some major shock.
Starring Ayushmann Khurana and Jitendra Kumar in the lead roles the film is about gay love.
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan made a decent number on Day 1 as it earned Rs 9.55 crore. On Saturday, the film went on to mint Rs 11.08 crore.
The collection dropped drastically on Monday as the film earned just Rs 3.87 crore. The film has collected Rs 36.53 crore till now.
Ayushmann Khurrana has collaborated with Hitesh Kewalya for the second time. Earlier in 2017, the director-actor duo worked together in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. While the 2020 film talks about homosexuality, the 2017 film was about erectile dysfunction. The Badhaai Ho actor was seen sharing screen space with Bhumi Pednekar in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.
Another interesting highlight of the film is that it stars many of the TVF actors. While Jitendra Kumar, who is popularly known as Jitu in the TVF universe, plays the central character. Gajraj Rao has been seen in many TVF series playing the role of quintessential father. Maanvi Gagroo, who plays Jitendra’s cousin in the film, is also a TVF staple.
