Singer Sonu Kakkar has given us chartbusters like ‘Babuji Zaara Dheer Chalo’ and ‘London Thumukda’ and has also sung in many films including, ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’, ‘Sab Kushal Mangal’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘Margarita With A Straw’, ‘Queen’, ‘Boss’ and many others.
And during the pandemic, she along with singer Rahul Jain (known for songs in ‘1921’ and ‘Fever’) created a special track. Talking to Bombay Times about it, she says, “During this pandemic, we have not been able to meet the people we love, except virtually and that is what our song, ‘Pass Aao Na’ is about.
The way we have made the song and recorded it is what makes this song special. I love the tune, it has a fresh vibe to it.”
Rahul adds, “The song is about two individuals who are craving to meet each other but can’t, due to the pandemic situation. It was great working on this. We recorded at different studios, shot at different places, and then merged everything which I feel is rare during the pandemic.”
Sonu confesses that she always wanted to work with Rahul. “He is an amazing artist and I have seen him grow.”
Rahul is known for his Bollywood song ‘Aanewale Kal’ not just sang but also composed this track while Vandana Khandelwal penned the lyrics.
