South Kashmir: Three militants killed in encounter with security forces in Tral

As of now, it is also not known which terrorist organisation they belonged to. Security agencies and police are investigating the matter. The police administration said the information will be made public as soon as the terrorists are identified.

Security forces and militants got engaged in an encounter on Friday in the Mandura area of Awantipora district in South Kashmir. The security forces cordoned off three terrorists and killed them in the encounter. The slain terrorists have not been identified at present. 

As of now, it is also not known which terrorist organisation they belonged to. Security agencies and police are investigating the matter. The police administration said the information will be made public as soon as the terrorists are identified.

Kashmir Police General Vijay Kumar has confirmed the killing of three terrorists in the encounter. According to information, on Friday, 42 national rifles of the army, CRPF Jawans, and police personnel jointly cordoned off an area of Mandurah in the Awantipora district and launched a combined operation. As the cordon started increasing, the militants started firing at the security forces. The Jawans started retaliating while handling the front. Then the encounter started.
