Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika is not only being applauded and critically acclaimed by Bollywood film fraternity and media critics, but also it has managed to impress even South film industry megastar Chiranjeevi. The film has added another big feather to its multi-talented cap.
Chiranjeevi watched the Kangana Ranaut starrer historical war biopic Manikarnika in AMB cinemas along with the writers and technical crew of his upcoming historical period drama, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy to know more about how the film was shot.
After watching the film, Chiranjeevi was blown over and damn impressed with some of the action and fighting war sequences in Manikarnika.
The film has been in news for its delay and controversies surrounding it and was released a day before republic day on 25th January 2019. It is based on Rani Laxmibai, who fought till her last breath against the East India Company and the British to prevent her kingdom of Jhansi from falling into their hands. The film has gained mixed reviews but the critics have applauded Kangana for her immense acting and portrayal of Rani Laxmibai.
Manikarnika is also the debut of Ankita Lokhande, who was seen playing the role of Jhalkaribai, a soldier who rose through the ranks in Rani Laxmibai’s army to become a prominent advisor. The film is directed by Kangana Ranaut and Krish Jagarlamudi.
