The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), are currently probing Bollywood actor Sushant Rajput’s death from several angles.
Speaking exclusively to CNN-NEWS18, CBI sources told that a ‘Medical Scene Recreation’ was conducted at the late actor’s Mount Blanc residence on Saturday. Accompanying the team was late Rajput’s sister Meetu Singh. Neeraj the former cook of the actor and Siddharth Pithani, his flatmate and content creation manager, were asked to join the probe.
The 3 were questioned about Rajput’s behaviour before and after June 8, 2020. June 8 was when Rhea Chakrabarty moved out of Rajput’s residence. Meetu Singh and the others were also questioned about the behaviour of the deceased actor and the nature in which his body was found on June 14, 2020.
Rhea joined the probe being handled by NCB into the drug abuse angle of the case. The agency has so far arrested her brother Showik, Rajput’s house manager Samuel Miranda and three others in connection with the case.
“Rhea Chakraborty is ready for arrest as this is a witch hunt and if loving someone is a crime, she will face the consequences of her love. Being innocent, She has not approached any court for anticipatory bail in all the cases foisted by Bihar Police now with CBI, ED and NCB,” her lawyer, Satish Maneshinde said in a statement this morning.
Meanwhile, Bihar’s art and culture wing of the BJP has released posters, seeking justice for the Bollywood actor. The posters read, “Na bhule hain, na bhulne denge. We have neither forgotten nor will let one forget Sushant”. The stickers also mention “Kala evam Sanskriti Prakosth‘, BJP (Bihar)”.
