State Stimulus Payment: Each Colorado qualified taxpayer will receive a TABOR Refund of $800 in 2024, while couples filing jointly will receive $1,600.

In spite of the substantial refunds available, as the tax season nears its end, many residents have yet to claim their refunds.

If Colorado collects more tax revenue than allowed under TABOR, eligible taxpayers can expect a refund check.

How much are you entitled to from California Stimulus Payments?

Those who have lived in Colorado for over a year and pay taxes will receive $800, while married couples filing jointly will receive $1,600.

A person who did not pay Colorado income tax and was at least 18 years of age at the start of the tax year is eligible to receive a 2024 TABOR refund by filing a 2023 DR 0104 form by April 15, 2024.

Refunds for TABOR

Colorado TABOR Refunds are straightforward to file. For more information, visit the Colorado Department of Revenue’s website, complete the form, attach any necessary documents, and make sure all information is accurate before submitting. The deadline for filing is April 15, 2024.

Individuals must file a Colorado individual income tax return in 2023 or apply for a Personal Tax Credit by April 15, 2024, to be eligible for the TABOR refund in 2024.

By January 1, 2024, they must be 18 years of age and have lived in Colorado for at least half the 2023 tax year.

In addition, they must not have outstanding Colorado income taxes or wish to have earnings withheld, nor have they been committed to the Department of Human Services or have spent 180 days or more in jail during the state fiscal year from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.
