Market trading has been halted for 45 minutes on Monday as the domestic indices dropped 10 % by the first hour of the session. Earlier than this, Dalal street was halted for one hour of trading on March 14, 2020. Snapping Friday’s bullish trend, market indices opened almost 7% lower on Monday and later declined 10% to hit the lower circuit for the day as domestic investors fretted over the concerns of economic growth in the wake of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
