A mob pelted stones near the religious place of a community, where the latter was performing idol immersion ceremony. The incident took place at 6 AM on Thursday, October 10 following which a stampede erupted.
According to reports, 14 people, including 4 cops have got injured in the pelting incident. 8 of the injured have been admitted to the Sadar Hospital.
People have blocked streets in the city, demanding action against the miscreants.
