Sushant Singh Rajput Biography: Sushant Singh Rajput (21 January 1986 – 14 June 2020) was an Indian actor renowned for his contributions to Hindi cinema. A number of his Hindi films were commercially successful, including M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), Kedarnath (2018), and Chhichhore (2019). Due to his contributions to the film industry, he was awarded a Screen Award and nominated three times for Filmfare Awards. Since 2017, he has appeared twice on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list.

Sushant Singh Rajput was born in Purnia, Bihar on January 21, 1986 to Krishna Kumar Singh and Usha Singh. He attended St. Karen’s High School in Patna and then Kulachi Hansraj Model School in New Delhi for his education. Sushant Singh Rajput excelled in his academics and passed 11 engineering entrance exams throughout his life.

In 2002, his mother passed away, and his family relocated from Patna to Delhi. Mitu Singh, one of his sisters, is a state-level cricketer.

In 2003, he received the seventh-best score on the entrance exam for the Delhi College of Engineering and was accepted into the B.E. Mechanical Engineering programme. Sushant was also a National Olympiad Winner in Physics. At Delhi College of Engineering, he was an active member of the drama club. He drops out of college to pursue a vocation in acting.

Career

He moved to Mumbai and started performing in theatre, landing small roles in a number of films. In 2008, he was cast as the second protagonist in the television series “Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil,” gaining significant audience popularity. He was then cast as the protagonist in the 2008 television series “Pavitra Rishta” In 2010, Rajput received his first award for Best Actor at the Indian Television Academy Awards. Along with numerous other T.V. awards, he also won three major awards for Best Male Actor and Most Popular Actor, making this role a breakthrough for his career.

The 2013 release of the sports drama film “Kai Po Che!” marked Rajput’s acting debut. He played one of the three male leads, and the film’s critical and commercial triumph earned him a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actor. He also starred in “PK” (2014), which became the highest-grossing Indian film, and “Shuddh Desi Romance” (2013), for which he received widespread acclaim and was dubbed the “next Shah Rukh Khan.” Rajput also began starring in biopics like “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story” (2014) and action-thrillers like “Raabta” (2017). In 2018, he began his entrepreneurial career by forming a partnership with the technology and intellectual property company Inssaei Ventures.

Relationships between Rajputs have always garnered media attention. He was in a relationship with Ankita Lokhande, his co-star on “Pavitra Rishta,” since they both appeared on the programme. In 2011, he publicly proposed to her, and they were engaged until 2016, when Rajput’s desire to focus on his career caused their relationship to terminate. He dated actress Rhea Chakraborty in 2019. Rajput passed deceased in 2020. Although there were numerous rumours and speculations due to the pervasive media coverage, the police ruled it a suicide.
