In a recent development in Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case, Dr Kersi Chavda, who was treating Rajput for depression, revealed that Sushant had stopped taking his medicines in June 2020, following which his condition deteriorated.

“Sushant stopped taking medicines and had a panic attack in the first week of June 2020. [He had] severe anxiety, depression and existential crisis. [This is] part of the police records with the Mumbai Police,” Chavda said, sources reported to India Today.

Earlier, statements of five psychiatrists were recorded by Mumbai Police. These include Kersi Chavda, Perveen Dadachanji, Harish Shetty, Nikita Shah, and Susan Walker, and each of them had confirmed that Sushant Singh Rajput suffered from severe depression.

The statement given by Kersi Chavda has brought the depression angle in light yet again. Sushant died on June 14, the second week of June, while Rhea Chakraborty, his live-in girlfriend left his Bandra, Mumbai home on June 8.

The Enforcement Directorate on Friday put a notice at Gaurav Arya’s hotel in Goa asking him to join the probe before August 31. The internal documents of Enforcement Directorate (ED), reported by IANS, states that CBD or Cannabidiol, a chemical compound extracted from Marijuana which is banned over certain concentrations was procured by Rhea to mix it in the coffee of Sushant Singh Rajput.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday registered an NDPS case against her based on an ED request to probe the drug angle in the death case.

Meanwhile, actor Ankita Lokhande has offered ‘certain clarifications’ after her name was brought up during Rhea Chakraborty’s Thursday interview to India Today. Rhea had said that Ankita claimed to have been in touch with Sushant Singh Rajput whom she dated for six years until 2016 before the release of her film, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

In a social media statement, Ankita denied Rhea’s claims that Sushant had first experienced depression in 2013. “1st of all from beginning till the end I and Sushant were together about 23rd February 2016. He never had any conditions of depression and had visited any psychiatrist. He was totally fine,” she wrote.
