“We are concerned that we are still very much on the upswing of this pandemic in many countries, particularly of the global south,” Dr Michael Ryan, Executive Director of WHO Health Emergencies Program.
As India is a “heterogeneous and huge country with very densely populated cities”, Swaminathan said it’s important to wear face coverings.
Countries should “be prepared, be innovative, think of vaccines as an investment,” said Henrietta Fore, executive director of UNICEF, emphasizing that it’s smart, strategic, and also an obligation for children.
Michael Ryan, executive director of the WHO Health Emergencies Program, stressed the importance of proper process to ensure safety.
As the World Health Organization has declared the Coronavirus outbreak as the global emergency and thus the basic practice one can do is to take care of their hygiene like washing hands using antiseptic hand wash.
