The department had also released Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for schools to strictly adhere to after the classes start.
Parents should note that only 50 percent of students will be allowed to attend classes in each session to maintain COVID-19 protocols.
Chief Minister MK Stalin said: “Classes for standards 9 to 12, colleges, and polytechnics will reopen in Tamil Nadu as planned from September 1.”
