Tamil Nadu SSLC Result 2020 Declared: Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations, TNDGE has announced TN SSLC Result 2020 for the 10th Public examination today, i.e., on August 10 at 9:30 AM. The result is now available on the official site of TNDGE on dge1.tn.nic.in as well as dge2.tn.nic.in and tnresults.nic.in.
Students are advised to check the result on third party results websites such as manabadi.co.in and school9.com.
This year, all students are promoted with a total passing percentage of 100 percent.
TN DGE will also provide the mark sheet online after a few days. This year, in light of coronavirus pandemic, the SSLC examination were cancelled. After analysing the current situation, the government declared that the students will be promoted based on a weighted scoring for scores from internal examinations.
In the year 2019, the TN SSLC Result was announced on April 29. All students are promoted with a total passing percentage of 100 percent this year. TN Class 10 Exam was conducted from March 14 to March 29, 2019 last year. To pass in the exam, students had to score a minimum of 30 out of 150 marks in theory exams and 40 out of 50 in practical exams.
The overall pass percentage last year was 95.2 percent and girls outperformed boys. The pass percentage of girls was 97 per cent and the boys pass percentage was 93.3 percent. Tirupur district secured the first place in the list with 98.56 percent, followed by Ramanathapuram with 98.48 percent and lastly Namakkal with 98.45 percent. TN Board does not release the names of the class toppers.
TN SSLC Examination is held annually by the TN DGE in the month of March and April. As many as 9.75 lakh students take the examination every year.
Last year, 9.76 lakh students appeared for the exam. TN SSLC 2019 results were announced on April 29, 2020. The pass percentage for 2019 was recorded at 95.2%.
