Tandav controversy: Saif Ali Khan starrer has created a controversial row in india, which has led to many BJP netas and members to lodge a complaint against Amazon Prime over the web series hurting the religious sentiments of the people.
As per the FIR lodged in Uttar Pradesh against Tandav, it states that OTT platforms quite often enjoy hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.

The case has been lodged at Lucknow’s Hazratganj Kotwali against Amazon Prime’s Aparna Purohit, Ali Abbas Zafar, producer Himanshu Krishna Mehra, writer Gaurav Solanki and others for hurting the sentiments of the Indian population.

Similarly, a few minutes back, the BJP Leader Kapil Mishra as well, sent a legal notice to Amazon Prime stating that if the web series Tandav is not removed, from their platform, criminal proceedings will be initiated against them.
Two of the BJP leaders have alleged that the Tandav web series hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus, expressing the same concern, BJP leader Manoj Kotak wrote to Union minister Prakash Javadekar, that it seems like the makers of Tandav are mocking the Hindu gods and have hurt the religious sentiments. He also requested the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to ban Tandav.
