Nearly 16,000 posts of teachers to be filled in 525 residential schools in Telangana, said deputy chief minister, Kadiam Srihari adding that the government is taking steps to enhance facilities at the schools to provide quality education.
He also said that the teachers need not apply for the best teacher award from next year onwards as the government itself would pick them on the basis of performance and talent.
However, Kadiam stated that it would take at least five to 10 years to get the desired fallout from the government educational institutions that were ignored for decades.
He appealed to the teachers to play an active part in boosting confidence among the students and their parents in government schools and colleges. The deputy CM made it clear that it is the responsibility of the teachers to reclaim the lost grandeur of the government schools.
