Indian actor Pooja Hegde has bagged a lead role opposite Vijay in ‘Thalapathy 65’. Pooja will return to Tamil cinema after her debut in Mugamoodi (2012). The film will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
Announcing the news, the makers wrote, “The gorgeous @hegdepooja onboard as the female lead of #Thalapathy65!” A stylish video of Pooja was also shared by the makers along with the announcement.
Sun Pictures had earlier produced Vijay’s Sarkar in 2018, which turned out to be a massive success for the production house.

On the professional front, Pooja Hegde is currently waiting for the release of two of her films Radhe Shyam and Most Eligible Bachelor. While the former has Prabhas as the male lead, the latter has Akhil Akkineni.
Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay was last seen in the college drama Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
